Former Governor of Wyoming
Dave Freudenthal, a Wyoming Native, served as Wyoming’s 31st Governor, 2002-2011, served as U.S. Attorney for the Wyoming, 1994-2001, undergraduate degree from Amherst College, J.D. University of Wyoming.
Currently located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, practicing law in Cheyenne and the Western States, specializing in natural resources, energy, federal lands, federal wildlife law (civil and criminal), regulatory compliance and public policy.
Wyoming is an energy and natural resource state. During Freudenthal’s term, Wyoming was recognized as a leader in rational regulation of hydraulic fracturing, sage grouse, carbon capture and sequestration, energy infrastructure, constructive environmental regulation, habitat protection and energy and economic development. Freudenthal sought constructive relationships with the federal government and litigated when necessary.
Freudenthal’s leadership on natural resource development issues led to his service as Chairman of the Western Governors Association and Chairman of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.
Since returning to private life, Freudenthal has served on corporate boards, served as adjunct Professor at Wyoming College of Law while providing clients with legal services and strategic advice.
