Andrew Vecera has worked with the Committee on Natural Resources since March 2013, initially serving as counsel to the Committee’s oversight operations. In the 114th Congress, he transitioned into a policy role, serving as counsel to the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources. He now holds the position of staff director for the subcommittee. In his role, he has addressed a variety of issues, including abandoned mine remediation, Puerto Rico’s debt crisis, and the production of oil and gas on federal lands and waters. He holds a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, and a B.A. in Political Science from Texas Christian University.
