Cody Stewart is the Senior Vice President for NES, a D.C. based consulting firm that specializes in energy and natural resource policy.
Prior to this position, Cody served as the staff director on the House Natural Resources Committee in the United States Congress.
Cody has nearly two decades of experience in government, advocacy, and public policy.
Over his career Cody has worked for several members of Congress and in several senior state government positions, including as Chief-of-Staff to Utah’s Lt. Governor and as the Energy Advisor, Policy Director, and Director of Federal Affairs for Governor Gary Herbert.
Cody also worked in the private sector as a consultant where he helped represent clients ranging from western trade associations, pro-energy advocacy groups, universities, think tanks, municipalities, state and county governments, to several small businesses.
Stewart was born in Utah and raised in both Utah and Virginia. He graduated from Utah State University where he received bachelor’s degrees in both History and Political Science. Cody also received a joint MBA/Masters degree in Government from John’s Hopkins University.
Stewart lives with his wife, Mary, and their six children in Chantilly, Virginia.
