Jeff Hartley has 24 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, public relations and political strategy. Hartley spent almost a decade in Washington, serving as a Senior Policy Advisor and Press Secretary in the United States Senate and House of Representatives. Since 2006, Hartley has been in Utah working on both state and federal issues.
Hartley recently merged his practice with the national firm Michael Best Strategies, which provides consulting and lobbying services to a range of interests in Washington, DC and across the country. In each market where Michael Best Strategies has a presence, it also has a sister-company law firm which often complements client services.
While Hartley’s client portfolio covers a range of industries, he has carved out a niche as one of the leading energy lobbyists in Utah. Hartley has served on a variety of boards, committees and task forces dealing with environmental issues, energy production, transportation and economic development.
Hartley holds a degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University.
